At SFCM, no singer is an island.
In addition to their private studio teacher, vocalists have access to a whole community of coaches, accompanists, and professors dedicated to creating the complete modern singer. These supportive educators are GRAMMY winners, veterans of the San Francisco Opera (and graduates of its Merola and Adler young opera singer training programs) and experienced performers on stages across the United States and the world.
SFCM's Voice program embraces a multigenre approach grounded in classical technique. From veteran professionals with decades of onstage experience to educators focusing on cutting-edge science that informs our understanding of how the human voice works, when you step up to sing at the Conservatory—whatever the genre—you're in good hands.

Industry Alliances to Support Students and Artists
In recent years, SFCM acquired two leading artist management companies and an iconic record label to reimagine how elements of the music industry can better integrate to advance the human experience through music. For students, that means more opportunities to interact with touring artists and industry experts–including professional development workshops, side-by-side performances, and enhanced masterclasses.
