Biography
Andrew King is a pianist and vocal coach based in San Francisco. He is a full-time member of the Music Staff at the San Francisco Opera, where he was an Adler Fellow from 2020 through 2022. He joined the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2023 as Principal Coach. King is also an alumnus of the Merola Opera Program and the Music Academy of the West. He has performed on San Francisco Opera’s Schwabacher recital series and debuted at Carnegie Hall in 2018 The Song Continues, returning the following year for SongStudio. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under Warren Jones, and holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
