Graduate Assistantships
Candidates for the Master of Music degree are eligible to apply for graduate assistantships provided they are full time students. Assistantships are awarded on the basis of musical proficiency and specific skills related to the assistantships available. Graduate assistantships are paid over the course of the academic year, with the first check being issued on September 15, and the last check being issued on May 15. Students receive 1/17th of their pay each pay date. Because students receive these funds directly, graduate assistantships may not be credited to the tuition and fee bill. The following listing includes the name of the assistantship, the duties of the assistantship, the approximate number of hours required per week and the pay for the academic year.
