Yunny Yip returned to her native California in 2005 when she joined the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. An economist by training, Yunny received a B.S. in economics & business administration from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.A. in economics from the University of Virginia. Prior, she worked as class dean & coordinator of transfer programs at Columbia University. In that capacity, Yunny advised juniors and seniors at Columbia College and the School of Engineering & Applied Science, coordinated transfer student programs, and developed academic and student support services for undergraduate students. She has also worked in academic and student affairs at Carnegie Mellon University. Yunny is a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
