Matthew Kennedy

Matthew Kennedy holds a M.A. in anthropology from the University of California at Davis, where he was awarded a Fulbright fellowship. He has taught anthropology at City College of San Francisco, and in Spain and England through the American Institute for Foreign Studies. Mr. Kennedy is listed in Who's Who Among America's Teachers and has published anthropological fieldwork in Indonesia and Puerto Rico. As a film reviewer and historian, he has written for various publications, including Performing Arts, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Bright Lights on-line film journal. He is the author of Marie Dressler: A Biography (McFarland, 1999), Edmund Goulding's Dark Victory (University of Wisconsin Press, 2004), and Joan Blondell: A Life Between Takes (University Press of Mississippi, 2007).
