Eric Howe
Vocal Physiology, Vocal Pedagogy
Eric Howe, baritone, is also on the faculty of Holy Names University in Oakland. He earned a M.M. in choral conducting, and has almost completed the D.M.A. in vocal performance at Indiana University, where he studied with Gianna D’Angelo and John Wustman, among others. Mr. Howe is the former Cal-Western regional governor of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and has served as the San Francisco chapter president. He frequently adjudicates singing competitions, maintains a private vocal studio, and is in demand as a clinician. Mr. Howe has held faculty positions at San Francisco State University, Columbia College (Chicago), Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, and the University of Notre Dame (South Bend, Indiana). He is a frequent guest soloist, chorister, conductor, and piano and organ accompanist and has played for Leonard Bernstein, the Westminster Choir, Marcia Baldwin, Reri Grist, Evelyn de la Rosa, Susan Dunn, Sylvia McNair, Michael Sylvester and many others.
