Corey Jamason also teaches fortepiano and continuo playing, as well as baroque keyboard literature. Harpsichord majors have many opportunities for performances at the school in both large and small ensembles, solo and chamber music. The Bay Area, with its vibrant early music scene, offers a unique studying environment for harpsichord students.

The Piano program, both undergraduate and graduate, rarely exceeds 45 students enrolled in the program at one time. A smaller student body means smaller departments and studios, which results in a great deal of individual attention from your studio, departmental, and academic professors, and many performance opportunities.

- Annual Piano Concerto Competition
The Conservatory offers a Master of Music in piano accompanying. The accompanying program is chaired by Timothy Bach and rarely exceeds four students. This program is designed to train pianists in all areas of ensemble performance. Because of the small department size, all accompanying majors are actively involved in playing for students in the instrumental and vocal departments as well as participating extensively in many Conservatory ensembles.
