Campaign
Help us meet our FINAL CHALLENGE with your gift or pledge!

$60 million has been raised to build our new home at Civic Center. Now, two Trustees have offered a challenge to help conclude the campaign by December 31. We must raise $4 million in gifts or pledges to receive their match of $2 million-in 8 short weeks!

This is your last chance to be a part of this historic moment. For a list of naming opportunities, see below. Click here to give online. Click here to download a pledge form.

Call Nancy Sackson at 415.503.6286 for more information or to make a donation by telephone. Thank you for your commitment to the future of music.

Major Naming Opportunities

We're Saving A Seat For You
Now, in the final stage of the campaign, we invite everyone who hasn’t done so, to help bring our vision to reality. Gifts of any size are welcome, and we hope you’ll consider giving as generously as you can. Whether you can take advantage of a naming opportunity (see below) or mark one of the performance hall chairs with your name, we can’t get there without your contribution.

To make sure you have a great seat, we're offering donors the opportunity for permanent recognition in the new San Francisco Conservatory of Music - your name on a chair in one of our beautiful new performance spaces, and/or on the wall.

Schwabacher Memorial Studio
When James H. Schwabacher, Jr. died last July, the music world lost the man Robert Commanday called "San Francisco's Gentleman of Music" and the Conservatory lost one of our closest and most devoted friends.

The Conservatory invites you to honor his legacy as we launch a campaign for the James H. Schwabacher Memorial Studio. Renowned philanthropist Richard Goldman has generously offered a $50,000 challenge to name a teaching studio at the new Conservatory in memory of Mr. Schwabacher. Gifts will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach our goal of $50,000. Additionally, all donors to the Schwabacher Memorial Studio will be recognized on a plaque that will hang in the studio.

We hope you will consider joining us in this tribute to a beloved friend of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

TEACHING STUDIO
$250,000 or $500,000 gift

Teaching studios are integral to the Conservatory educational process, for in these rooms our faculty members work one-on-one with students to hone their musical skills and inspire their passion. Some studios are on the outside of the building with magnificent views either north toward Davies Symphony Hall or south looking at the San Francisco Bay and coastal hills. Each is equipped with a piano so that instrumental and vocal students can experience the effect of accompaniment throughout their study. Some will include a second grand piano for piano instruction.
