Description:
18-year old guitarist David Marsden started seriously studying guitar at the age of eight with Patricia Robinson in England. His early talent was quickly noticed and he received the Prelude Studios “Best Young Guitarist Award” and won a prize in the Carlisle Music Festival. By age 17, he had come to the United States and graduated from the University of Redlands with his B.M. in guitar and a second major in mathematics. He has studied and performed in master classes with Stuart Green, Paul Murphy, David Tanenbaum, Darin Templeton and Odair Assad. His celebrated career includes televised solo performances on the LA18 and KVCR networks. Additionally, he has earned places in the University of Redlands President's Honor Recital, Music Teacher's Association of California Scholarship Recital, and the Redlands Bowl Young Artist Concert. As a multi-instrumentalist, jazz player and church musician he enjoys diversity but chooses to specialize in classical guitar. He has taught music for the past four years and hopes to do so at the college level someday.
