Alumni Recital Series

Officially christened in April 2011 with a recital by Weigang Li '82, first violinist of the Shanghai Quartet, the Alumni Recital Series expanded in 2011-2012 into a full concert season.   During the 2012-2013 season an additional performance was added to create a four concert series. Designed to strengthen the Conservatory's connections with alumni as well as the broader Bay Area community, the series brings several outstanding alumni artists back to their alma mater each year for command performances.  By both greatly expanding upon the breadth of the Conservatory's concert offerings and displaying the enormous talent pool of the alumni community, performances in the Alumni Recital Series have quickly become some of the most popular events held at the institution.

2014-2015 Alumni Recital Series

Due to strong interest from both audience members and prospective alumni performers alike, the Alumni Recital Series is a four concert series dedicated to bringing alumni home for encore performances. Selections for this series are chosen by the Alumni Network Committee. If you are an alumni of the SFCM and would like to be considered for this series, please email Makela Clay, Manager of Alumni Relations at mclay@sfcm.edu.
